Quick Summary:

“A wannabe princess, A reluctant hero, and a flightless dragon”

Leo is a engineering genius with a self esteem issue. Things go haywire for him when he gets involved with problems involving his boss/ex-girlfriend. The result of that mess sends him to another world. A land of magic and elves. A dream for some. The only catch is that he arrived too late. The elves lost the war years ago. Now Leo must help them rebuild and reclaim their lost glory.

My Opinion / Lazy Review

This book is an ok read. I liked it for the most part. However, I doubt its going to win any awards for narrative fiction. It not bad though and if you’ve got time to kill there are worst books you could be reading.

What will I remember after finishing this review? (Characters, Plots, Action)

The two things I will remember about this novel are the dragon and Leo. Loved the simple minded and joking dragon. Leo though, I have mixed feelings about him. You ever get in trouble for not showing your work on a math problem? Well this author doesn’t’ show his work when it comes Leo’s character growth. Starts off as an inept warrior then suddenly becomes this brave battle-hardened fighter somehow. The only explanation the author gives is for Leo to often recall his background as a MMA fighter.

Am I going to check out more from this series or author after this lazy review?

I’m currently half-way through book 2 and so far everything is alright. I have some small gripes but nothing major. I’m still invested mainly because I wanna see the kingdom being built. I might review book 2 in the future.

Lastly, Feedback, suggestions, or recommendations about this review are always welcome.

What’s your favorite Genre? (I personally read everything but romance or historical fiction.)

Anyway, thanks for reading my lazy Review!
